Meiji Run

Waiver

  1. I have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Event.
  2. I fully understand and acknowledge the risks involved in my participation in the Event. I accept full responsibility and assume all such risks.
  3. I hereby represent, warrant and undertake to the Organiser the following with full knowledge that they shall be relied upon by the Organiser in accepting my participation:
    1. My personal particulars disclosed herein are correct;
    2. I have no medical condition that would affect my safety and physical well-being arising from my participation in the Event and that I am medically and physically fit and competent to participate in the Event;
    3. I shall dutifully and fully abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Event and any applicable laws
  4. I confirm that the representations, warranties and undertakings above are true and correct and I (and my heirs, successors and assigns) shall waive, release, discharge and undertake that I (and my heirs, successors and assigns) shall not make any claims or lodge any complaints whatsoever against the Organiser, Sponsors or officials of the Event for any injury, death or losses/damages to property sustained during the Event.
  5. Further I (my heirs, successors and assigns) shall indemnify and hold the Organiser, Sponsors, appointed officials/suppliers harmless from any claim, demand, proceedings, costs, expenses liabilities loss or damage (whether direct or consequential) made by third parties, arising from any injury or death or damage or loss to any property arising out of my breach of the representations, warranties and undertakings under clause 3 herein.

I have read the above and will participate on the understanding that I will adhere to all the said Rules and Regulations as well as Terms and Conditions.

 

Terms and Conditions

General

Meiji Run (referred to herein as the “Event”) is organised by Upmost Pte Ltd, Crown Pacific Investments Private Limited and Meiji Seika (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“The Organisers”). In accordance with the Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) that is applicable to the Participants. This is set out in www.meijirun.sg (“Official Website”).

  1. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these T&Cs from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in so doing, they will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants. Any amendments to these R&Rs and/or T&Cs will be updated on the Official Website.
  2. Whilst reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants’ safety, Participants take part in the Event at their own risk and the Organisers will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.
  3. Participants must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, Event Director, Event Officials, and/or Security Officer.
  4. The Participants are deemed to have given written permission to the Organiser for the Organiser to collect, analyse and collate any personal information relating to that Participants, as the Organiser may in its sole discretion deem fit, including without any limitation information for the Organiser’s programme, planning, data-processing, statistical or risk-analysis, research, fund-raising and/or, any other purposes.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
  6. The Organiser will not be held responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the baggage deposit. The Organiser also reserves the right to check any item or baggage deposited.

Registration

  1. The Participant (a person) who has entered to take part in the Event, by completing the online registration form, confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by the R&Rs and T&Cs.
  2. The Participants agree to:
    1. provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form (the “Registration Data”);
    2. maintain the security of the Participant’s password and identification; and
    3. maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
    4. The Organiser may contact the Participants from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participants.
  3. If the Participants provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if the Organiser has grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the Participant’s registration and refuse any and all future use of the Official Website (or any parts thereof).
  4. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse race entries without assigning any reason.
  5. Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their race entries to another party or change race categories after their registrations are confirmed.
  6. Once the registration is duly processed, there will be no fee refund for Participants who eventually do not take part in the Event, for any reasons whatsoever.

Age Restrictions

  1. Participants must be 4 years and above on the Event day to participate in the 3.5km Meiji Fun Run Event.
  2. Kids Participants age is set at 4 years old to 12 years old in order to participate for 3.5km Meiji Fun Run Event.
  3. Participants must be 14 years and above on the Event day to participate in the 10km Meiji Cashback Run Event.
  4. Participants below the age of 18 are required to seek parental/guardian consent and fill up the relevant indemnity and declaration forms as deemed necessary by the Organiser upon online registration, failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participants.

 

Race Pack Collection

  1. All Participants must collect their Race Pack which includes the Race Bib at the Race Pack Collection Venue on Race Pack Collection Day. The Organiser shall not liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused, due to Participants’ inability to collect their Race Packs. Uncollected Race Packs will be deemed as unwanted, and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly.

Race Bibs

  1. Race Bibs are strictly non-transferable. Participants found doing so will be disqualified from the Event.
  2. The form on the reverse side of the Participants’ Race Bib must be fully and accurately completed.
  3. Participants must attach the assigned Race Bib on the front of his/her running attire. Participants not wearing a Race Bib will be taken off the race route by the Race Director, Race Officials, security officers.

Race

  1. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participants, in which case they will make effort to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid and the Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
  2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the Participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
  3. For the safety of Participants, Participants are advised to run on the designated path throughout the entire route. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. Only official race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route.
  4. In the event of inclement weather, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the Event. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees.

Participants’ Entitlement

  1. All Race Participants who successfully complete the race with be awarded, a finisher medal and cashback vouchers worth of Meiji Snacks by the respective officials.
  2. All Medals and cashback vouchers of Meiji Snacks are to be collected on the race day. No requests thereafter will be entertained.

  3. For the safety of Participants, Participants are advised to run on the designated path throughout the entire route. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. Only official race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route.

  1. All Race Participants who successfully complete the Yoga with be awarded, Bulgaria Yoghurt Drink and Bulgaria Yogurt by the respective officials.
  2. All Bulgaria Yoghurt Drink and Bulgaria Yoghurt are to be collected on the race day. No requests thereafter will be entertained.
